"There are two seasons in Scotland: June and winter." - Billy Connolly

I don't understand why we're not hearing more noise about the (purported) Chinese hack of our govt. employee database. That seems to me to be a huge story because it's an attack by a foreign government, just as surely as if shots were fired. Why isn't Congress scheduling hearings and the many govt. agencies with purview in this situation making noise?
Under inflated footballs, trans-something-or-other has-been jocks, federal govt. hacked by a hostile country. You tell me which deserves the public's attention.

Am I the only one who struggles with a balance between what works and how I appear to others?
I dress for comfort and function (and cheap), but no matter how cool a pair of old school athletic style short shorts are I'll forego them in favor of a near-knee length pair lest I look like a dweeb. My sons tell me blue-tooth ear pieces score a 9 on the nerd scale, but in most states it's illegal to drive and talk on the phone without a hands free device, and wired ear buds get in the way. I can't think of anything inherently wrong with old blue jeans cut off at the knee, or saddle shoes (incredibly comfortable!), or hair parted on the right, but each currently exceeds my threshold of peer independence. I've been known to wear black shoes with brown pants, sit with my legs crossed, and order a peppermint mocha at Starbucks, so what do I care if people think my short socks aren't short enough?
This is why I could never live in the east valley. Too much pressure and/or not enough "don't give a rip."

My friend Quinn introduced me to the song Flawless by Mercy Me. I may be the last person in the room not to have heard it, but I fixed that with a trip to YouTube. I think it's very good, good enough that I'm using it in my sermon tomorrow morning which is on the key NT word grace.

I'm at that stage with the truck where each step seems to produce two problems. Fix one and two more emerge. Hydra. And electrical issues continue to be the area causing the most trouble. Makes me long for the simplicity of a VW electrical system.

The quote sounds like Seattle, where there are also two seasons: fall (10 months) and summer (2 months).

The two seasons in Wisconsin are winter and road construction.
