"A man who has never made a woman angry is a failure in life." - Christopher Morley

That quote up there. Some of us are a great success in life.

It was supposed to get into the 40's today. It didn't.
I did 6 miles that included some slippery pavement here on Baker where the tree branches cover the road keeping the sun from melting last night's frozen fog.
I was slow, but that's the longest run I've done since the half marathon. Maybe I was slow because I was wearing so many layers.
I think my black tights probably look pretty silly but they keep my legs from getting frostbite.

We had goat for dinner. Pam fixes it about three times a week but in different ways, so it doesn't feel repetitive or boring. Tonight was the neck done in the pressure pot. It was tender, but a little dry. We're still learning.

Friend Sue (she says she feels like a Quaker when I call her that) sent me "Boy, tales of childhood" by Roald Dahl. It's short and very easy to read; I did so in two sittings. But it's very, very good. You should read it because he's a great storyteller, it's a vivid picture of a child's life 100 years ago, and it will make you shudder at the way children used to get treated.
With her permission I'm going to send it on to Caedon, our oldest grandson. He's a good reader and I think he'll enjoy it.

I have a half dozen news sites I visit once or twice a day that stretch across the liberal-conservative spectrum. I'm surprised at stories I see on a conservative site that are legitimate news items and do not appear on any other sites.
Like the FBI agents who are part of the Meuller probe but have been taken off the assignment because of their ties to the Clinton campaign and/or the DNC. It's now up to two agents, including the one who is Meuller's top assistant, with a third under investigation.
Or that the Department of Justice has opened an investigation into Planned Parenthood because of the mounting evidence that they've bee selling body parts from aborted children.
Or that CNN misreported the date of an email offering the RNC documents that Wikileaks had hacked from the DNC making it appear that the RNC got early access to that trove. In fact, the date on that email was ten days later than CNN reported and a day after the hacked emails were available online to anyone with an internet connection.
OK, I'm tired of President Trump railing about "fake news" being pushed by the "fake media." However, there does seem to be a general bias that at least affects what is or is not reported.

Our pastor is doing a series through the book of Judges. He's moving at a brisk clip and tomorrow we'll do chapters 9-11. What bogles my mind is that here we are two weeks before Christmas and he's not doing Christmas sermons.
Note: Christmas sermons are the bane of preachers. We dread them. There is SO little biblical material on the birth of Jesus (and for good reason), yet we're expected to preach at least three and preferably four Christmas sermons every year - and not be repetitive.
So how does Brett get away with preaching from Judges two Sunday's before Christmas????
