"He only is exempt from failures who makes no efforts." - Richard Whately
I've sold some things on eBay. Mostly cars and car parts. Today I got an email from eBay that said, "yada, yada, yada...."
I think it was something about changing how buyers pay sellers that brings several benefits to sellers like "yada, yada, yada."
It will be a "multi-year transition" so I've got some time to figure it out.
By 4 a.m. I was sitting in front of our printer using the scan function to scan all the diagrams and charts from Understanding Your Bible to my laptop, cropping and adjusting them using my PhotoShop limited software, and then dropping them into the re-keyed text where they belong. Then I did margins, page numbering, the table of contents other formatting tasks. By 11:00 I had the text what I think is done, converted to a PDF, and ready to send to Amazon.
About 11:30 Kim arrived. She and her husband are in our small group and she has a successful photography business. We went down to Fred where she took some pics that she'll turn into a cover for the book. So the republication of Understanding Your Bible is getting close.
Meanwhile the proof of Questions In Dispensationalism arrived at and left a UPS facility in Spokane so it's headed south and on target for a Friday delivery. I'm really hoping there aren't any problems and I can click on "Publish." But if they are I'll fix them. After two and a half years this is no time to get impatient.
I'm working on Eastport preps in between book tasks.
Confession: I'm looking forward to preaching and teaching.
Wish it didn't have to happen 3,000 miles away from hearth and home, and Pam.
I'm going up to Seattle next week to see mom. On the way I'm going to stop in Spanaway, WA to see some friends from when we were at the church in Prunedale. Dale has pancreatic cancer and is in the middle of chemo. This morning Judy had surgery to remove a cancer from her eyelid.
You never stop being their pastor.
Plus, they're good people.
