Mini grill
This morning at Starbucks before church I exported the edited Word for Mac file to a PDF and sent it off to Amazon. I'll hear back in 24 hours and IF there are no technical problems (please, Lord) they'll update my file so all subsequent printings of the book will be this new version.
I also uploaded a new cover file. I noticed that my name on the cover was correct but on the spine was misspelled, with the A missing from MacDonald (McDonald).
I need to go through the same process with Questions in Dispensationalism but mi hermano Alonzo is translating it into Spanish and catching a few things in the process. So I'l wait until he's done with that translation so I don't have to do two resubmissions, one for the errors I know about now and another for any he finds. So far there are very few errors and they're small ones - mostly formatting.
It's 9:45 p.m., WAY past my bedtime. It's been a long and very good day.
I preached at UFC and I *think* it went well. I had fun, they seemed attentive and responsive, and tho we left pretty quickly the comments were positive.
I had time to come home for lunch and a quick nap before heading across town to meet John. He drove and we went up to Oregon State Penitentiary whee I spoke at the chapel service. Abut 40 inmates, most of whom were middle age or older.
They sing for about 20 minutes to music played by inmates on guitars and a keyboard - better than average. Then I preached the same message that I gave this morning with some audience-specific adjustments.
I enjoy speaking up there. Speaking to a bunch of guys wearing prison blues would be intimidating except that they're a friendly, engaging group. And responsive.
So now I'm totally whooped. We have two groups of people from church coming out tomorrow to see the goats and Marta's coming over to bring some doe's milk to help Eclair make the transition to a bottle. I've got a ton of chores to do and hope to get the new distributor installed in Sally
Which is to say there's a lot I could write about in this post but I can't. I'm too tired.
Good night.
