"When I go to the beach even the tide won't come in." - Phyllis Diller

I had my first PT appointment this morning. Melissa spent most of the hour doing things to my back and legs and asking "Does this hurt?" The answer was usually yes, which made me wonder if she belongs in a helping profession.

At the end she had me do four exercises that are now my homework. Three times a day, 3 x 10 reps of each exercise. I wore my blue jeans to the appointment because it was in the low 40's at 7:30 a.m. and took along a pair of running shorts to change into. After the hour I went into the restroom to change back to the jeans and didn't think about it until I was done, but I stood on my left leg to put my right leg in the jeans. I could NOT do that at home when I got dressed; I had to sit down.

I went from PT to the laundromat and got home about noon to do the second of the day's three sessions. Afterward I went out and worked on the trailer almost pain free! By the time I was done with today's painting it hurt, but this is progress!!
If tomorrow is like this I'll clean barns and the coop.

Josh says I'm allowed one cheat per week. Across the parking lot from the laundromat is a donut shop, so while the clothes were in the dryer I had a cup of coffee and an apple fritter. I chose a fritter because it was the biggest thing they had. I wanted to make my cheat count!

Today's Google Doodle was very cool.

Three more sleeps until Pam's home.

I heard a guy on NPR point out that our economy is going strong while China's is stumbling. That puts us in a much better position for enduring a trade war.
If Trump is right (and I think he might be on this one) he could come out looking good to the middle and class.
Wouldn't it be interesting if a President who is so clueless on so many areas gets the economy and international trade issues correct?!

I need to go do my third set of exercises. That happens on the bedroom floor, the only carpeted room in MoHo. I learned laminate flooring is not a suitable surface for a guy with hip issues to do therapy exercises. The sink full of dishes will wait until tomorrow morning. I'm ready for bed chair.
