If someone told you they went on a date with a 320 lb. woman you probably wouldn't picture the lady on the left. She's 7'4" tall, lives in Holland, and is purported to be the tallest woman in the world.
This afternoon I loaded Dolly into a big dog crate I borrowed from Marta. (The crate was in the back of the utility trailer.) I then took her over to Marta's where she'll spend the weekend with Chisolm, a fine looking two year old buck.
That was a simple description but trust me, a 130 lb. goat that does not want to go into a crate can give you a workout.
Chisolm seemed very pleased to greet his weekend visitor. What he lacks in romantic skills he more than makes up for in enthusiasm for his task. Dolly won't be receptive for another couple of days so until then he has to find a way to deal with his frustration.
Ron put his manual gauge on Sally's engine and could see she had a bad oil pressure sensor. He replaced it. I could have and it would have saved me a few bucks but I understand. He has to make a living. So a new sensor and he tweaked the carb...$60. That's still a TON cheaper than if it had been the pump. And I don't have a manual pressure gauge and therefore couldn't test the sensor.
I check my Facebook newsfeed when I get up in the morning. Because I'm up unusually early most of the posts I see (I use the "most recent" setting) are from people I've met on my trips who live east of the U.S.. That's fine except that the posts are in Spanish and Portuguese.
I don't get a lot out of them.
Facebook seems to be putting more ads and 3rd party posts. One that I've seen a couple of times recently is a single question survey: "Should Oregon require that four trees be planted for every one that's cut down? Yes/No" Along with the post is a picture of a little sapling being planted by someone.
I don't know which side of the issue generated the post but I don't believe for a second that there isn't an agenda behind it.
I read some of the comments and boy, were they pointed. All of the several I read were very anti-timber industry. (It's Oregon.) From the comments posted you'd conclude everyone involved in commercial logging is a crook who's raping our forests with no conscience and all for the sake of making a profit.
How many of those critical of the timber industry live in wood framed homes, have a beer on a wood deck, and go to a wood chest of drawers each morning to get their underwear.
Kia made a name in the auto industry by offering a 10-year, 100,000 mile warranty on their vehicles. People felt more inclined to buy an off-brand car because they figured with a warranty like that the risk was minimal.
Kia has since backed off to a more typical 6 year, 60,000 mile warranty but the tactic worked; they're now a major player in the auto sales business.
I saw an ad tonight for Mitsubishi. They're offering a 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty.
That's enough to get me to look their direction IF I was in the market for a new vehicle.

I used to use Firefox but it didn't work well when I switched to a Mac (It might now.)
I use Chrome. I should look for the same kind of blocker. I use Ghostery as an ad blocker but it doesn't work on FB.
