"My wife says I don't listen. I think."

A car guy pic.

The senior lunch went fine. About 45 people came and they seemed to have a good time. The food was excellent but Patty always does a great job with that.

I had pics of 12 hood ornaments and the best scores were a couple of 8's. I didn't expect anyone to get Datsun, which is in Japanese a homonym for "leaping rabbit."

And nobody got the mid-50's ornament that Rambler used.

This part of the "entertainment" package was in observation of January 29, which is National Puzzle Day and the anniversary of Karl Benz taking out the first patent for a motor powered buggy, aka an automobile. (1886)

The 29th is also National Corn Chip Day so we had a contest to see who had the corniest joke.
And National Bubble Wrap Day. At the beginning of the luncheon I gave each person a 4" square of bubble wrap. Immediately the sound of popping filled the room. What they didn't know was that I had a $10 gift card to Jimmy Johns for the person who, at the end of the luncheon hadn't popped any of their bubbles. FIVE people qualified so they each gave a guess to see who could come closest to the number between 1 and 100 that Patty had written on a 3x5.

I got the corrugated fiberglass roof over the chicken run finished. This time of year it may be weeks before the run dries out - it's a muddy mucky mess now - but eventually it will dry and stay that way.

Grand Rapids will get down to -7 tonight, up to 2 tomorrow, and then down to 0 tomorrow night. Add in 10" of snow and winds up to 30 mph and...gee whiz, how much fun will that be?! Sure wish we still lived there to enjoy it.
Here? Low 50s during the day, partly cloudy, and high 30s at night. Oh bother. f

There's more, but frankly I'm tired and hungry. We're going to eat dinner and I'm going to veg for the rest of the evening. The next four days are shaping up to be a bit busy.
I'll explain in the next post.
