Continuing last night's theme...
I was right - today's ride was harder. But the average speed was respectable for this stage in the recovery.
TV viewing dilema: Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas or NFL football? The plan was to watch the auction until the game started and then go back and forth in true ADD fashion. But I just realized I missed "C'mon, man." That's a favorite at our house.
Pam's gone. Have I mentioned that? She's been gone for about three years so far. She comes home next Monday three years from now.
She left me some dinners in the freezer in little square tupperware-like containers. I took one out this morning so it would be ready for nuking tonight. Late afternoon I checked to see if it was going to be thawed in time and discovered it's a container of some apple crisp-kind of dessert.
Drat! Dessert for dinner.
Louise's plates arrived in today's mail.
I've been doing lots of research on the choke issue including input from some of the gurus on the AMC site. There's a weird tube that runs from the exhaust manifold to the choke chamber that is supposed to tell the choke when the engine is hot. The consensus is that there's some malfunction with that system.
I've disassembled and reassembled it but not tried it out yet. It's too hot to drive Louise. I haven't charged the AC and we're in a stretch of unseasonably hot weather. Summer's going out with a bang. Today's high hit 107. I may take her out tomorrow, or wait until the first of next week when we're supposed to be down into the 90's.
It's too hot to get caught on the side of the road with a stalled car.
I don't think this is partisan. Just fun.
My sermon has real problems. I'll be at it early tomorrow morning.
I didn't really have dessert for dinner. I had frozen pizza for dinner. NOW it's time for dessert.
