I'm not bossy, I just know what you should be doing.

We're coming into one of the very nice stretches here. The morning temps are in the low 70's so I open all the doors and windows to get the fresh air in the house. The late afternoons still hit the upper 90's but the humidity levels are back into the teens now that the monsoon season has all but ended. Another month and we can turn off the AC altogether and be outside comfortably all day.

This morning I took some stuff from the Rambler project to a metal recycler - four drums, two wheels and a radiator. Got just over $27 in cash. Score!

Today I learned the word, "bespoke." It's used in England to describe something that is custom made to the buyer's specifications. Bespoke clothing is custom tailored and is the opposite of "off the shelf." So anytime the buyer had input on the design and manufacture of a product it can be described as bespoke.
Use the word "bespoke" in three sentences.

What makes it a bucket list? Do you have to be near death? 'cause I have things I want to do, but I've always had a mental catalog and never considered it a bucket list.
Over the years I've been blessed to accomplish a lot of them. At 30 I'd never riden a motorcycle but had in my head it would be fun to take a cross-country motorcycle trip, Easy Rider style. Learned to ride a bike and eventually took a trip four or five summers in a row. One of them covered almost 3,000 miles in 12 days.
Wanted to restore an old house and did two of them (consecutively, not at the same time!).
Build/restore a car: check!
Lots of other items checked off. Some were fulfilling, some were just agony, but there's satisfaction in reaching goals.

I still have things I hope to do. I want (us) to see central and northern Italy.
But a few things I'll never get done. It's too late. And it wasn't a realistic option for me earlier. I wish I'd had the opportunity to at least try competitive driving. There are "track days" all over the country for guys who have a car - including street legal drivers - to compete against other cars in their class. It takes some skill, which is why I also wish I'd taken a course at one of the competition driving schools. They have one day courses and weekend courses with prices ranging from $1200 to $4-5,000 depending on the supplied car, type of class, and number of days.
Yeah, I'm past that point in life and didn't have the bucks to pull it off when I was younger - or now for that matter. And I think it's something best learned when youthful reflexes are quick.
Oh well.

Kate and the photos, Romney and the videotape. Embaaaarassing.

Won my fantasy matchup for the week even without the tight end I have in tonight's game. Undefeated for the season!

It's Monday night. It's dinner time.
Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!
