Sure, this guy works in a cubicle. But it's a cubicle with class.
There's a reason young adults have babies. Steve & Michelle have already forgotten what extended sleep feels like, and "extended" means anything over two hours.
The guy who lives on the corner stopped by today. They have a home in Montana and just got back a week ago. They stay longer than most snowbirds so he can go elk hunting up there. I think the season runs through the first half of December. I asked him he he got his elk this year. He didn't but said that was OK, cause his wife shot a bull moose during that season. After field dressing it weighed just under 1500 pounds. So the meat from an elk would have been overkill. (pun intended)
He's got pictures I'll go down and see tomorrow.
I read today that Kia is discontinuing production of the Sedona for 2013. Scion stopped making the xB a year ago. We are now the proud owners of four classic cars!
I got a thumbs-up while driving the Rambler today. I'll go back to actively trying to sell it after the first of the year. Tomorrow I'm going to fiddle with the idle mixture adjustment screw and see if I can improve acceleration off the line.
Pam still can't hear well, and while we wait for the antibiotics to take effect I'm going deaf, too. In order for her to hear it the TV volume has to be up so crazy high I think it's damaging my hearing. So by the time she's better I'll need the volume cranked up.
She's ready for this to be done.
One of my surfing stops is the NBC affiliate in Grand Rapids. After 17 years there I like to keep track of news and weather. One of their site's pages allows me to click on about a dozen traffic cams for a live feed. I don't care about the traffic but this time of year I can see how hard it's snowing. Except for that camera on US 131 and Hall Street. The display often reads "stream loss."
I hate it when that happens.
Finished third in our fantasy league. Steve finished second. Pretty good showing for the MacDonald brood.
Are they going to get a fiscal cliff deal done? They've done this so many times - run something right up to the brink with political gamesmanship only to pull out a deal at 11:59 - that it's hard not to think of this as crying wolf.
NBC Nightly News included a brief spot of a woman who has been unemployed for the last year after losing her job at a skilled nursing facility. Her unemployment checks run out next month and she wonders what she's going to do if Congress can't get a deal done that will extend those checks. She siad that as her son played games on his smart phone.
Uhm....
