Adult life: if you're not tired you're doing it wrong.

We got up into the mid-40's briefly this afternoon.
I worked outside on the coop all day.
My left thumb really, really hurts, all the siding is on, and I hope to be warm in another hour or two.

I still have to paint the siding, prime, paint, and install the trim, make the nest boxes, and the doors for the chickens and for me. But now that it's closed up I can move the boxes currently in Fred over to the coop so I can begin the reconstruction stage in there.

We're supposed to get a "hard freeze" for the next five nights, with daytime highs only into the low 40's. I'm not sure if I should paint now or wait until June.

The very good news from the day: my friend's surgery had a best-case outcome. There are no cancer spots on her liver, the work on her digestive track went smoothly, and the prognosis is good.
T'ank you, Fadder!

Sunday nights won't be the same now that this season of The Great British Baking Show on PBS has ended. If you didn't watch it you missed out on some excellent TV. I don't know when the next season will air, and it's on different nights depending on your local station's programming schedule, but you NEED to watch it.
It's so good that they're planning a U.S. version that's sure to be lame in comparison.

And while we're on the topic, the new season of Fixer Upper begins next Tuesday night on HGTV. You won't be disappointed.

Tomorrow should be a good day.
I'll tell you about it tomorrow night.
Now I'm going to get a lot more to eat and then go to bed early, even by my standards.
