"There's only one way to have a happy marriage. And as soon as I learn what it is I'll get married again." - Clint Eastwood

We get our TV through Dish over a satellite because that's our only option where we live. The signal comes from the dish out by the road into the box by our TV. But I know from our experience with DirecTV in AZ that the communication goes both ways; those providers keep track of what we're watching and recording.

Years and years ago we were part of the Nielsen ratings for a week. We got a log in the mail, entered everything we watched, and mailed it back to them. I think we got $10 for our efforts. I'm guessing they don't do that anymore. They can pay cable and satellite providers for the data from their boxes.

All of that to say this:
In his bluster about skipping the debate Trump said, "Let's see what kind of ratings they get without me."
If ratings are indeed measured by data collected from provider's boxes I'm ready and willing to do my patriotic duty for my country by watching that debate from beginning to end. Or at least have it on my TV while I read my book.

For the first time in weeks and weeks it was sunny almost all day and the temp got up to 66.6 degrees. Devilishly warm. Tomorrow it will rain all day and the high will be 52. The rain will continue through the weekend and temps will drop into the upper 40's.
A return to normal.

It's auto auction week in Phoenix, the first time I haven't attended since we moved there nine years ago. I wish I was there getting my old car fix. Maybe next year, DV.
RM Auctions, which isn't open to the public, has a '37 Mercedes that they predict may bring $10 million, which would set a record for the AZ auctions. And the buyer has to pay a 10% premium on top of whatever the sinning bid is.

I got most of the coop porch railing fixed today. I need to pick up three more 2x2's for the remaining rails, but it looks a lot better, and I'll sleep better because of it.
While I was doing that Pam worked in the garden, ripping out most of the grape vine runners and removing the rotted wood that framed the raised beds the PO had in there. I'll build new frames, we'll get more topsoil, and have us a veggie garden! Fresh vegetables, fresh eggs, fresh berries, and BACON. Does it get any better?
