Do I think Trump meant to suggest gun violence as a response to a President Hillary's likely court picks? No, not at all.
Do I think he's said enough stupid stuff to explain why people might think that's what he meant?
You betcha!
Today was my third track workout. I do my stretching and some warmup, and then do one mile at pace. I dropped 20 seconds off my time at both the second and third workouts. I figure another 2 years and I'll be down to a near-Olympic mile time.
After recovering from that mile I do four 1-lap intervals with a brief recovery between each. I'm now consistently just under 2 minutes per lap, not bad for an old man.
They say that if you want to run __________ you have to train __________.
That is, want to run in the heat? In the rain? Long? Fast?
The answer for me is, Yes, So I'm trying to do all of the above. And I can tell that these track workouts are helping me on my longer runs. Running fast(er) helps me run fast(er).
I drove up to see Leroy yesterday and learned he hasn't pulled the transmission yet. He did say the think made some pretty ugly noises when he rolled it over to the lift and he's not optimistic. Also, the guy at A-1 Salvage yard who told me they had a T-5 transmission was wrong; the owner told Leroy that not only do they not have one, if they did he'd sang it for his own project.
Leroy hopes to have more info for me by the end of the week.
Heavy sigh.
We're 36 hours away from Charles starting work on the trees. I've been reading up about well pumps, goat fences, and fruit trees, but all of that depends on what the bottom line looks like after the trees are out and the timber off to market.
It's past my bedtime but the Olympics are just coming on here and the women's gymnastics final is on tap.
