"All men make mistakes. But married men find out about them sooner." - Red Skelton

We're just home from our small group, which tonight met for dinner at what I think is an Asian fusion restaurant in Eugene. It's our last get-together before summer break when several of our group will be gone for an extended time.
It was our first time, but everyone else had been there before, which is why they chose it. Pam and I ordered three appetizers and shared them in a sort of ad hoc sampler scheme. One of them was wings, one was meat on a skewer, and the third was something inside of pastry things.
Can you tell I'm not a foodie?
It was good food and we enjoyed the conversation. We sat across from Trevor and Laney and I learned a lot about them and their very interesting background.

We were late getting there because of a very bad accident on the freeway two miles past our on-ramp. There had to have been injuries based on the damage done to two of the three vehicles, but hopefully no fatalities.
We're all a split second away.

Sundae's due date is two weeks from today. One of the things that indicates a goat nearing her birth is an expanding udder, and hers is certainly growing! Marta says that by the time a goat gives birth their udder looks taught to the point of bursting. Sundae isn't there yet but nearing that point. She's not tremendously big around and it looks like twins at most. Eager to see how it all goes.

On the topic of Baker Rd. females, I got Sally's driver side window fixed...I think. The regulator works fine, but heretofore the top of the window wouldn't close tightly at the front.
I think the problem was the rubber seal which wasn't seated in it's groove properly. I'll try it more tomorrow and get the door card installed, too.

The upper A-arms, pitman arm, and center link are supposed to arrive tomorrow which means I can schedule installation for early next week, so we're making good progress.

I'm growing Marion berries, a blackberry hybrid developed years ago at Oregon State Univ. I planted them a year ago but the berries grow on canes (vines) in their second year so this will be our first harvest. And based on the number of blossoms we're going to have a good crop. They're sweet, and good to eat straight from a bowl (some ice cream?) but they need more.
So I'm going to learn to make pies. From scratch. None of this go to the store and buy a crust business for me! This is the day of wiki-how and You Tube. And I grew up watching my mom make pies from scratch, so I'm hoping that somehow I got some kind of imprinting thing going on.
I'm going to practice making apple pies because they're readily available at the grocery store.
If this works...we should have rhubarb this year and maybe enough blueberries from our two small bushes.
This is either going to be fun and fulfilling or a complete disaster. Stay tuned.
