If I had a dollar for ever girl who found me unattractive, they would eventually find me attractive.
Monday I clean out the barn which goes a lot easier if I close the doors with the goats on the outside. Otherwise their natural curiosity and suspicion that somewhere in all of this there might be something good to eat makes the task even more difficult.
It's cool to look out and see five goats walking around. It seems like a herd instead of a handful of goats, especially with the two kids getting bigger every day.
I like it!
Q: How is it possible that the Republicans control the W.H. and both houses of Congress and have yet to get anything significant done?
A: They are not a single party. There are so many factions so far apart that they can barely agree what day it is, never mind come to a consensus on any of the dozen no-brainer fixes the country needs.
Good grief.
Drove Sally to the coffee shop today without any stalling problems, which confirms my suspicion that the problem was the doofus behind the wheel who was taking the choke off too soon.
I like driving her and am eager to continue the rolling restoration. One of these days she's going to look as sweet as she drives. But the $$$ involved in a properly done paint job puts that a ways off. That's OK; she's still a fun drive.
This afternoon I made my second pie, this time a blueberry. Pam was in town doing the laundry so I flew solo. It's a good thing nobody can see me work because I think I'm clumsy in the kitchen, but they don't award style points so it's OK.
It's hot again - it was 88 when I finished making the pie, headed toward 90 - so in the absence of AC I'll bake it first thing tomorrow morning. MoHo gets hot enough without having the oven at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
I didn't work on Sally today. But the time I had time it was too hot to wrench out in the sun. Tomorrow?
