"Voters don't decide issues, they decide who will decide the issues." - George Will

I'm bothered by all the molestation stories. I've no reason to disbelieve the accusers, which means I'm terribly naive about the conduct of the average American male. I get that men who make tons of money portraying immoral behavior are likely to be less than upstanding themselves, but at some point the bad behavior descends into just plain stupid.

I also wonder about the accusers. What is their motivation for making public accusations years, even decades after the event?
"I want to raise awareness" ??
Why now, and not when it happened?
I wonder if there isn't some revenge motivation, a desire to strike back. And now the accuser has the support of a larger group of similarly harassed people instead of a sense of isolation. In rather unkind terms: a mob mentality that emboldens someone who otherwise wouldn't _____.
Yeah, it feels like revenge.
Not that retribution isn't a natural instinct in this case. It just isn't Christian.
That is, I accept it as the behavior of people who operate on a natural level and as a reminder that I'm called to operate on a higher level, one where I'm told, "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written, 'It is mine to avenge, I will repay,' says the Lord" (Rom. 12:19).

I did a brisk 5 miles this morning and thought I was going to have a PR. But I missed by 35 seconds. Grrr.
Next time!

Stella (see last night's post) and now Sundae are BOTH in heat. I'll breed them at least one cycle apart so they don't kid at the same time. But we're going to have a bunch of kids in the spring.
Maybe.
This will be Stella's first kidding and that often means just one. It's also not uncommon to have a stillborn the first time.

President Trump believes Putin when he says they didn't meddle in the U.S. elections.
Because I guy who worked for the KGB wouldn't ever lie.

I got a lot done this morning, including sending the two unintended roosters to that great chicken coop in the sky. We're now down to 9 birds - eight hens and Spike. But those two guys weren't giving me any return on my investment, and there ain't no free ride on this farm. You either produce or your gone.
