"Everybody knows how to raise children, except the people who have them." - P.J. O'Rourke

I think I have everything ready for me to be gone for a month. The barn and coop are cleaned, extra feed stockpiled, and Pam's schooled on the routine. I leave tomorrow morning so ready or not, here I go.

I got 22 envelopes addressed so that when the "author's copies" of Questions In Dispensationalism arrive next week Pam can send them out. That includes copies to the guys who teach the theology courses at the college.

I took Sally down the hill to get another bag of chicken feed. Ugh.
Once she's up to temp she runs great, but boy is getting her started up a struggle. I know it's all carb adjustment but it has me stumped. I don't know what the problem is so I don't know how to fix it. Too rich? Too lean? Choke issues?
So when I get back I'll focus on Sally for as long as it takes to get this RIGHT.

Excluding suicides, 13, 286 people were killed by guns in 2015.
Alcohol accounted for 88,000 deaths per year, each year between 1996 and 2010.
Every day 28 Americans die as a result of a drunk driver.
One of every four auto accidents is caused by texting while driving.
H.S. students are protesting guns.

Tonight we watched skiers in the halfpipe. Two of the guys missed and crashed against the edge of the wall. Horrible to watch. Thankfully both seemed to be OK.
Bowling.

Stella was bred three weeks ago tomorrow. If it didn't take we'd see evidence that she's back in heat, and with Stella that's really obvious. No signs!!
Sundae is nearly as obvious and the DIY pregnancy tests aren't real reliable so we decided just to wait. We agree she looks like there's a baby bump.
Mother's Day week for Sundae and July 1 or 2 for Stella.

I'm gonna go start packing. I'm a minimalist when it comes to packing (drives Pam crazy) but being gone for a month makes this a little trickier than usual. Sunday attire, running gear, everyday wear, books, tech items.....
The question is not if, but what I'll forget.
