"If government were a product selling it would be illegal." - P.J. O'Rourke

It's Sunday night and I'm back at the house that's been home for a month. I've called Pam, the last time we'll talk until I see her at the airport in Eugene.
ONE MORE SLEEP!
I have a mixture of thoughts and emotions. I feel a strong attachment to these good people. They've been gracious, receptive, and responsive. They've opened their homes to me and given me some really remarkable gifts. I'll miss them, a lot.
On the other hand I'm very eager to be home with Pam. I miss her, a lot.

My flight from JFK to SeaTac leaves at 4:25 which means we'll leave Eastport at about 1:15. I'll arrive in Seattle at 7:55 D.V. with a 90 minute layover before flying to Eugene, landing at 10:40. It's a long stretch of travel but the three hour time difference means it' not as bad as it looks from that description. By the time I've got my luggage and make the drive home it will be about 11:30. We'll both be tired, but things will again be as they should be.

The solution to this problem - the attachment to Pam and to these good people - is to bring her back for a visit. I don't know when or how, but sometime, some way. They can meet her and she can get to know them as I do.

For now....bedtime.

The next post may come from JFK, or SeaTac, or HOME!
