"As long as I'm learning something I figure I'm OK - it's a decent day." - Hunter S. Thompson

Mom said she could take her pet mouse for a walk.

If we get any more Dem candidates for 2020 I think we should start an NCAA-type bracket. Pick the eventual winner of the nomination from among the 64 candidates and you get a bottle of whiskey to drown your sorrows.
This is going to be a circus.

Pam's just over two days into the visit with her mom and...it's work. She's told me a couple of times that she can see a clear decline in her mom's mental capacity. She didn't seem to recognize Pam when she opened the door when Pam first got to her place, and there have been struggles since then. I feel sorry for Pam.

The rain has started! We're at about 1/2" now (2 p.m.) and it's raining pretty hard. The forecast calls for 1.5" tomorrow and nearly the same on Sunday. It's not cold enough in here to start a fire but a bit chilly even with a sweatshirt on. I may light a fire later this evening.

My NCAA bracket was trash almost before the round of 64 was half done so I haven't been paying a lot of attention to the games.
However, the women's final four starts tonight and the U of O Ducks are playing. I'll be watching.

I'm just back from the pizza place we go to every week. I sat there reading my book while the rest of the place was going CRAZY over the Lady Ducks playing (and losing) to Baylor. But it was a very close game, with never more than a three point spread.

And now (7 p.m.) the wind is starting to pick up. We'll have gusts to 30 mph for the next two days to go with the rains. This could get interesting.

I've been thinking for a couple of days about Joe Biden and the pickle he's in. I've got some thoughts on it, but this is not the time for me to try to express those. Anything I try this hour of the night should not involve words of more than one syllable or anything that plugs in.

So maybe some toast and jab plus a cup of coffee. Some surfing for cool cars and a review of my stuff for meeting with Levy tomorrow morning.
Yeah, that's the plan.
