Lew brought donuts to our staff meeting this morning. But it's OK because we didn't pray for them.
There's a huge homeless problem in L.A., Chicago, NYC, Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco. What else do those cities have in common? A: very liberal mayors. And they're in states with very liberal governors. Hmmm.

Again, never got back to finishing the above, written Wed. afternoon. Pam's flight arrived a little before 9 p.m. and I got busy getting things ready for her return. Paint window trim I'd installed earlier, do dishes and some cleaning, do chores, etc.
So now it's Thursday morning and I've been working on lesson prep for several hours. My brain is weakening so I'll come here and type a few paragraphs. Then walk over to the bakery for a cinnamon roll, another cup of coffee, and (hopefully) finish my lesson.
This is beautiful. Click through the pics far enough to see that interior. Luxury. And have you ever seen a dash like that? For car geeks, note the inboard disc brakes.
If you were an automotive engineer back in the day before key fobs how would you make a door lock work? On the driver side turning the key toward the back of the car locks it while turning toward the front of the car unlocks it.
Now go around to the passenger side. Same thing? Or mirror, so that turning toward the back unlocks it?
If you use the same mechanism it's going to be mirrored as you take it around to the other side of the vehicle. If you reverse the design of the mechanism for the other side it will be "back" and "back" to accomplish the same thing.
I think the same rotation should accomplish the same thing. Dodge apparently did not.
I spent a couple of hours working on Sally today and didn't go anywhere near sandpaper or paint.
The PO (previous owner) hit a patch of ice and slid into a tree. That bent up the front bumper and the valance below it. It also scrunched the driver-side front fender. I have some repairs on the other fender and decided the best thing to do was to take them both off for easier access.
Turns out that requires removing the grill, grill support, headlight buckets and trim rings, upper valance, bumper, and lower valence - just to get the fenders off.
What were they thinking??
