A montage, just for fun:

I'm officially hired to do the bathroom remodel downtown. I'll go Monday morning to start demolition, removing a cast iron tub and the tile of the surround. The only way to get the tub out is to cut it into three sections using my reciprocating saw (a nasty task), remove the center section and then the two ends. With any luck the drain will disconnect easily and there won't be any slab underneath, but I go into jobs like this expecting surprises. After I'm done a plumber I've contacted will come in to relocate the drain and pour a slab. Then the tile people will come in and build a new tile surround and tile the floor. Then I come back to finish things off, including a shower dam that allows a wheel chair to roll over it. A pretty clever design:

Tomorrow morning we'll head to the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. It's a lot more than a car auctioin. Think event. When you enter you go into a large tent with vendors selling all kinds of auto-related things, including art and jewlery. Then you move to row after row of vehicles under large tents, everything from classics to rods to race cars to European sports cars. If you get Speed TV you can watch the action live, beginning about 10 a.m. PST. (check your local listings)
I'll let you know if I come back with anything. Besides our first choice, the VW bus, I've got my eye on a really clean 1972 Suburban with something like 20,000 original miles. And it's a 2-door!
Pics tomorrow night.

More in my head, but we're sitting here in the living room watching the auction, and this room is also my younger brother's bedroom (air bed). I think we're keeping him up.
See you tomorrow.
