Tea to Green

A European noodle company came up with this ad campaign for the port city of Amsterdam. Those are large posters put on the ships while they're in port.

It's amazing how tired you can get doing nothing but walking around a golf course all day. Steve & I went to the FBR - arrived about 10:00 and left a little before 4:00. We had passes that got us into three hospitality tents with free food and drink. Good food, too! They delayed the morning start times because of frost on the course and it never got real warm, but we dressed for the weather, so it was OK. When inclined to complain about the unseasonably cold weather here (we should be at 70 degrees, not 60) I look up the Grand Rapids weather and remind myself what we used to get this time of year. I really do feel sorry for you guys.
Phil Mickelson is a Phoenix native and therefore a local favorite. We followed his group for three holes and watched him get two consecutive birdies. This tourney is known for its very un-PGA like crowd behavior; at the par-3 16th hole it's traditional to cheer great shots and boo bad shots, heckling the poor guy who put it in the trap as he walks from tee to green. Crazy!

The valley is filling up with limos, private jets, and executive motor coaches. On the local news tonight they said that the airports are full of private planes, so any coming in from here on will have to drop off their passengers and then go elsewhere to park, some as far away as Las Vegas.
Parties every night at the FBR and at various Super Bowl venues. By the time we get to the weekend this place will be a zoo.

Abbreviated post tonight. I really am tired. And anything I write under these conditions would probably get me into trouble. I'm going to bed!

In the film Forrest Gump, all the still photos show Forrest with his eyes closed.
Astronauts cannot burp in space. There's no gravity to separate liquid from gas in their stomachs.
