Palindromes are Rasemordinlap!

Hole in One!

I want to know more. I want to know what God is doing (assuming he's doing anything) and how quickly he's going to do it. That way I wouldn't let myself get too excited about encouraging events or to discouraged about setbacks. There's probably some real good reason he hasn't told me, don't ya think?

Have you ever seen the movie "Unbreakable?" Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson. I'd never heard of it but with nothing worth watching on our normal channels I noticed this on the Sci-Fi channel. Keep in mind we've watched the edited TV version, so I take no responsibility for what might be in the original, unedited version, but we thought it was pretty good. Got a little intense at a couple of points, but that's OK, isn't it? YMMV.

Remember I mentioned that I took some music off my MP3 player to put other music on - stuff more suited to my time at the gym? My "Shared Folder" file is music I downloaded back in the day when file sharing was legal, or if it was illegal nobody had determined that yet.
I have a little bit of everything in that folder. Janis Joplin, Arlo Guthrie, The Boss, Pavarotti, Harlem Boys Choir, Booker T. and the MG's. But no matter what I'm doing there's one song that, when it hits my ear buds, will always bring a smile to my face. It ends:
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?
How can you not love that song? That man?

I asked Ryann about the pain in my bum this morning. First thing out of his mouth: "Do you stretch?"
Stretching before or after exercise is not something an ADD individual is inclined to do. Sure seems like a waste of time. But this is not the first time I've heard that I should be stretching. Funny how I always hear it after an exercise injury of some sort. So this afternoon I did some stretching of my glutes. Maybe overdid it. We'll see in the morning when I get on the bike for my Monday speed ride. Which I'll go on after I stretch more!

Here's a short clip from NFL Films, the official video arm of the league. With training camps opening this weekend it's time to get back in the football groove - a very good groove - and this sets the mood in a moving way.

The Diamondbacks are in first place in the National League West, two games over .500. If they were in any other division in MLB they wouldn't be higher than third place with a record like that. So I don't know whether to be happy that my hometown team is in first place or embarrassed that they're really not a very good baseball team and have no business being in first place.

"Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just that yours is stupid."

That movie came out shortly after our second son was born. J took me to see it for a "date night". It would have made for a much more enjoyable evening for me if SLJ's caracter had had a different name. Amazing how something like that can bring out the mama bear in ya.
