I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

I don't know anything about this picture - the where or the why. And I can't imagine an explanation for the setup. If you click to enlarge you'll see that one side is for men and the other for women. The "WC" in the middle stands for "Water Closet," the term the Brits (and former British colonies) use for a toilet. Are the benches for those waiting to use the WC?
If you were in this location - wherever it is - and this was the only facility, could you use it?

I don't wear a wrist watch anymore. Like many people I just use my cell phone. But today I got a $10 digital watch at Target that includes a stopwatch function so I can time my runs. Here is a quote from the instructions for setting the correct time. Honest, this is what it says:

In normal time, push S3-button three times. Tuesday flag + second digits will flash. Push S2-Button and Second will be reset to zero.
1xPush of S1-Button:
Minute digits flash and geneva by depression of s2-Button.
2xPush of S2-Button:
Hour digits flash and geneva as above.

It goes on like that. Do you have any idea what "geneva" means in this context? I sure don't.
I got the time set, but not because I used the instructions.

I am NOT a fan of MMA or cage fighting or anything of the sort! I have questions about how those events align with certain biblical passages. But you gotta love this brief video:
Capoeira Fighter

I set a PR on my Monday speed ride this morning, which happens to be the same distance as the tri on Thanksgiving. This afternoon I went to the gym and then the pool.
"Lord, be merciful to me, a swimmer."
I decided to try it without the snorkel. I think it was divine deliverance that brought a thunderstorm through very quickly after I got in the pool. And perhaps a divine message, if the amount of water I swallowed is any indication.
It turns out that besides the five of us (me and all four of our kids) there are some others from Pathway planning on doing the event. So we're talking about putting together a "Team Pathway" and I'm preparing for humiliation in front of my flock.

I don't know if you like thinking about issues or if life gives you plenty to work on, but if you're in the former category cogitate on this:
What is the theme of the Bible?
Is it:
  • The plan of salvation?
  • The ultimate glory of God?
  • God's sovereign plan for history?
  • D - none of the above?
We're not watching the Democratic Convention. There are so many better options, like Sanford & Son reruns, Gone Country on CMT, and Sponge Bob SquarePants.
