"Happy families are all alike. Every unhappy family is unhappy in it's own way." - Leo Tolstoy

Oops

Short post tonight. Tomorrow's Sunday, it's fast sneaking up on my bedtime, and it's been a long day with some special moments - if you know what I mean.

Today's stage of the Tour de France was 110 miles long, most of it up the mountains of the Pyrenees. The riders averaged about 22 mph. Yes, they fly down the mountain hills, sometimes hitting speeds in excess of 50 mph. That's scary fast on a bicycle! But they did a lot more climbing than descending, and averaged what I consider my top speed on my rides around here. And they'll do it for another two weeks before they hit Paris.
I think the Tour de France may be the toughest challenge in any sport anywhere.

I leave the house early on a Sunday morning so I won't see the end of either one. But beginning about 5 a.m., my normal rising time, I'll have to choose between live coverage of the F1 race from the Nuerburgring in Germany or the Tour in France.
The "Last" button on our remote is going to get a workout.

OK, to quote Bugs, that's all folks.
