Keep the Dream Alive! (hit the snooze button)

We saw a 15-second Fixodent ad on TV that included the line, "It's important to use this product according to the directions."
There's a story here somewhere and I want to know what it is. Did somebody confuse tubes stored in their medicine cabinet?

The July sales of existing homes in the U.S. fell 27% from June's levels, to the lowest levels since 1995. If the talking heads on the news tonight are to be believed, a major factor in that decline was the end of the govt. tax credits for buying a home. Those credits created an artificial surge in sales and this is the back side of that bubble.
Did the govt. economic engineers not see this coming? 'cause it seems like a no-brainer to me.

At 6:30 p.m. we've got triple-digit temps with high winds and major thunderstorms. Weird.

Pam woke up this morning walking like a drunken sailor. Another vertigo episode, so we did the Epley maneuver again. Now she has to remain upright for 48 hours to prevent a recurrence. She sleeps in her chair and I get the bed all to myself.

Today was Primary Election Day in AZ. This state has some odd laws, including one that says voters who don't claim a party affiliation still have to choose between a Democratic or Republican ballot in primary elections. I'm not sure why I didn't claim a party affiliation if the primary election system basically requires me to do so in order to vote.
But any state that doesn't require any permit to carry a loaded, concealed weapon can be counted on to surprise.

The living room area ceiling is done save for the final sanding. Once that's done I'll remove the popcorn off the adjoining TV area and make any necessary repairs. Then prime and paint both.
The next step is to rip out the brown carpet and put down wood flooring. Since we got back I've done a lot of research and we've decided on laminate (cheaper) click-together flooring. Today on the way home from a small job in town I went to Lumber Liquidators and found a close-out light oak that meets our criteria (8mm, 20-year warranty) that they're selling for 89 cents a square foot. We only have 355 square feet in both areas so it's going to be pretty reasonable.

I got a phone call from a young gal doing a survey of people who have recently stayed at Champoeg State Park. Three or four minutes into the survey she said, "You have a great voice, like you should be doing movie trailers." I'll feed off of that for at least the next three days.

My Tuesday ride is a gut-it-out hill route that I try to do at a minimum 90% effort. On my way back from the turn around point I was doing 24 mph when a guy passed me like I was standing still. He gave me a cheery, "Good morning!" as he went flying by.

I thought to myself, "Yeah, you're fast, but I have a movie trailer voice."

Part of life is deciding who you'll listen to.

Hahahaha Sue!

Seriously, one of the things I like best about Pathway's website is being able to listen to your voice in those Sunday messages. It makes you seem not quite so far away.

Hey, and I *just* remembered that you talked about "resonance" in Homiletics all those years ago. Remember that, Sue? You have good resonance, Professor MacDonald. I mean, Craig. = )
