Kidnapping? I prefer to think of it as a surprise adoption.

I'm fascinated by the emerging details on the Navy SEALS operation that killed Bin Laden. If you watch NCIS it's easy to visualize how this went down. Absolute precision and efficiency. Not surprisingly, some are now questioning whether it was really necessary to kill him and others in that compound, some or all of whom were unarmed. Hey, everyone in that house knew well who they were hanging with and what he had done. They knew there was a price on his head ($25 million) and that he was at the top of our "Most Wanted" list. They chose to be there and to live on his dime. When our personnel went into that compound full of guns and barriers to entry, with all the very significant risks associated with that operation, they should have (as they obviously did) the authorization to act swiftly and decisively in whatever manner they see fit.

Equally interesting is the issue of releasing photos of the dead Bin Laden. As I posted a couple of nights ago, I agree with the President's decision for the reasons he gave and hope he doesn't waver. But people, including many in the Muslim world, insist Bin Laden was not killed and this is another lie perpetrated by the Great Satan.
OK, that's obviously crazy. If Bin Laden were still alive he could score the coup of all time by appearing in a video with today's NY Times.
BUSTED!
So those claiming he wasn't killed and that photographic evidence must be provided are looney tunes. The President shouldn't yield to their foolish demands. Nobody with an ounce of sense will give their claims any credence.
Mr. President, let it go. No matter how many times they call for it, don't yield.
(Anybody else thinking "birth certificate" here?)

Part of my problem is that I get bored easily. Drives Pam CRAZY! But there's a definite upside; I've done all kinds of interesting things because I was bored or thought I might get that way. I'm much happier when my brain is busy. That's one of the reasons I liked motorcycle riding - total mental focus.

Doing this VW restoration is excellent boredom prevention. I am learning a ton about the car as I work toward removing the body from the frame. But that's just the beginning. Media blasting, body work, paint options, 6 v. or 12 v., homemade engine stands....
I'm too stoopid to be scared. Hey, what's the worst that can happen? This is fun.

Shirley sent me an email about a lady with free goldfish for our pond. Big ones! FREE!! I'm going over tomorrow afternoon. Score!

Life is good. My mind is swirling with the Ilsa project, I've got new plants in the pond and tomorrow will add free fish, plus it's supper time!

"...add free fish, plus its supper time." ?? Hope you actually did put those fish in the pond and weren't so wrapped up in Ilsa that you had a fish0fry supper.
