My older brother sent me this pic and the email text below it:
To my darling husband:
Before you return from your trip I just want to let you know about the small accident I had with the Ford F-150 when I turned into our driveway.
Fortunately, it's not too bad and I really didn't get hurt, so please don't worry about me. I was coming home and when I turned into the driveway I accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
The garage door is bent but the truck fortunately came to a stop when it bumped your Ferrari. It's also fortunate that I missed our motorbikes.
I am really sorry, but with your kindheartedness I know you will forgive me. You know how much I love you and care for you, my sweetheart. I cannot wait to hold you in my arms again.
I'm attaching a picture for you.
Your loving wife, XOXOXOXOX
P.S. I nearly forgot to mention ..... your girlfriend phoned.
Speaking of siblings,
When I was 12 the church our family attended, where my mom was organist and my dad was chairman of the elders, went through a nasty split. No real improvement in names; we went from attending Emmanuel Tabernacle, which sounds ultra-Pentecostal, to Berean Bible Church with a first name nobody else knows how to pronounce. I know the origins of "Berean" but for some reason it always made me think of an enema.
My brother discovered a Facebook page called, "I grew up at Emmanuel" where a bunch of now-old people are apparently connecting, and some of them are posting pictures. I went to look at the page and just a few posts down someone was listing the names of those they remembered from their youth. Someone named Ross wrote, "I remember a family with three, named Scott, Kathy and Mark."
Ross posted a comment a couple of hours later. Apparently his memory kicked in because he wrote, "It was Scott, Kathy and Mark MacDonald."
Hello! I'm over here!
I'm hitting some issues with the VW as I try to gather some of the pieces that were missing when I got Ilsa. Volkswagen changed the design of the heater and exhaust system from what is called a "stale air" to a "fresh air" hookup. Because most of those pieces were missing I don't know which I should look for. There were stale air heater boxes underneath but according to the manual it should have been fresh air boxes. I got her with no muffler and which kind I get depends on which of those two systems I should have. It was also missing some of what's called the engine tin pieces that seal the spaces between the engine and the engine compartment, pieces that are absolutely essential for proper air flow. But again, because I never saw them I don't know what I'm missing or where they go. And I haven't been able to find a good diagram anywhere.
Rick Perry is looking dirty. As the press goes digging they're finding some shady deals. Politician.
The word pneuma is used without the definite article in Rom. 1:4. Does it refer to the non-material part of the incarnate Christ or to the Holy Spirit? Is the presence or absence of the definite article determinative to the meaning? In every case?
Busy day tomorrow. We're helping J & A move. With forecasted highs at 111 we're starting at 6:15. If I don't post tomorrow night it's because the hospital doesn't have wi-fi in patient rooms.
