I don't get nearly enough credit for managing not to be a violent psychopath.

Arguing with your wife.

Does that Chinese dissident just really want to get out of China, or does he have the hots for Hillary Clinton. First he says he wants to kiss her and now he wants to leave the country on her plane.

Josh and Aubri are in Colorado where he will compete this weekend in the regional Crossfit games. He's on a 6-person team from their gym - 3 guys and 3 gals - and they will do a variety of events, most of which are things no sane person could or would attempt. If they do as well as expected they'll advance to nationals, held in CA this summer.

Pam leaves early Saturday morning for Grand Rapids where she will spend about 10 days visiting her mother and seeing friends from our church and former co-workers at the hospital. In her absence I will watch sports whenever I want. OK, I mostly do that now, but I won't feel guilty about it while she's gone.
She's made some things for me to eat that are in the big white boxy thing over in the corner of that room with the sink. I'm supposed to take them out and nuke them when I get hungry, which means they'll be gone by Tuesday evening. After that... it's not delivery, it's DiGiorno.

I was out in the garage early this morning and took the carb off the Rambler. Brought it inside to the table for disassembly, a slightly scary process. These things have lots of very tiny parts that should, ideally, go back in, and in their proper place. Half way through that process, after removing the accelerator pump, I noted the difference between what I took out and what came in the rebuild kit I ordered. They are not interchangeable. Not even close. And the small business in the midwest from which I got the kit is only open M-W from 9 to 4. So I have to wait until next week to call and find out if the error was mine or theirs. Aaargh.
Pardon the jargon, but this is a Holley, model 1931. This carb wasn't used until 1968, so at some point it was retrofitted onto this engine. Depending on what they tell me when I call, I may just order an entire rebuilt carb, the year-correct Holley, model 2209. That would fix some things that aren't right with this one - missing vents and linkages - that might explain the problems the car has now.

Here is some great photography well presented. But it is still Texas. We spent a month one week driving across that state and I don't remember seeing anything like these scenes. What I do remember is getting caught in a storm that included softball-sized hail that made our Pinto look like a golf ball, and a tornado 5 miles down the road from the cafe we ducked into that killed a couple in a pickup who did not get under cover. We drove by just as first reponders were arriving and it was sad.

The problem with finishing the sermon early in the week is that I have too many days to modify and edit. This one is a little different re. its format, what in homiletics class is called "experimental."
That means it might work, or it might blow up in my face.
