"Ask your child what he wants for dinner only if he's buying." - Fran Lebowitz

If I tried bike racing...

For no good reason I'm especially tired, even by Sunday standards. You know that feeling when you've been in a pool for several hours and then get out? The sensation that either you gained 200 pounds or gravity somehow doubled? Besides being mentally exhausted that's how my body feels.

Rob & Leslie came to Pathway and joined our family for lunch. Then they headed north to Flagstaff and from there they'll go to the Grand Canyon. It was nice having another car guy in the house. The good people of Pathway are too young to know anything but plastic bumpers, never mind the term "triple chrome." The car talk flowed fast and freely, and I think they're going to switch to DirectTV when they get home so he can watch all the great shows on Velocity and Speed.

It is my honor to serve the folks at Pathway, especially as they navigate the complex issues and transitions life sometimes brings. It's also a responsibility that gives me pause. They are a great group of thoughtful people

Tomorrow afternoon I have the second portion of the cardio tests - an echocardiogram and the chemical stress test. I've heard the latter isn't a lot of fun but I've also been told it's no big deal. I'll let you know. Either way I may be stopping on the way home for a 135 oz. Diet Coke and six chocolate bars. Chase it down with four cups of coffee.

My brain is too fried to write more. I'll be back tomorrow with stories to tell.
