"I had a monumental idea this morning, but I didn't like it." - Samuel Goldwyn

The world's oldest flamingo just died in an Australian zoo at the age of 83.

The Chris Christie saga took an interesting turn today. But I don't understand why someone would send their lawyer out to say, "We have proof." Why not just show it? What purpose is served by saying you have proof, knowing that at some point you're going to have to produce it. Why not now?
As it turns out, the former Port Authority official has until Monday to put up or shut up. That's the deadline to comply with the subpoena ordering him to turn over all relevant documents.

As a native of Seattle my preferred outcome for the Super Bowl is what you'd expect. But I'll be pleasantly surprised if the Seahawks pull it out. Peyton Manning is the best QB playing the game today, and probably the best going back quite some time. Russell Wilson, a relative newcomer, can be forgiven if he's a bit overwhelmed by the event.

Sunday's a tough one.

"The Monuments Men" looks like it might be a good movie. I still haven't see "Rush," so that shold come first.
Pam and I talked about it and agreed TV just gets worse. It may be time to get Netflx, or Hulu, or... And with the Chromecast it would be easy to get it from the iPad to the TV.
I'm just so....cheap.
