"Human Being: an ingenious assembly of portable plumbing." - Christopher Morley

I went to a small car show today at a local Ford dealership. It was sponsored by some group that's trying to prevent the legislature from establishing toll lanes in AZ. Apparently they're considering that as an alternative to our current express lanes.

When Jim was here for the auctions he noted that our express lanes are only restricted to "2 or more occupants" during rush hours, and are available to everyone during off-peak hours. Apparently that's not the case in Seattle. It seems to me that toll lanes would have the same effect but since I drive on the freeway about once a month this is not a burning issue for me.

Anyway, back to the car show. I only took one pic, not because there weren't several really nice vehicles, but because one stood out as over the top slick. LOVE it. Not my taste, but you gotta respect the guy's vision and execution.
The quality and attention to detail is outstanding, and the interior was just as amazing.

I talked to a couple of car owners, asked questions, and got some good info on everything from machine shops to paint codes. Always more to learn, and learning is fun.

The past two or three years I've posted real-time reviews of Super Bowl commercials on Facebook. Last year I actually got asked if I was going to do it again; seems it's expected. We'll be at Josh & Aubri's to watch the game (Steve & Michelle will be there, too), but I'm taking my laptop along. I think I'll be able to get on their wi-fi.
I heard this morning that 8 car companies have ads during the game. I wonder if any of them will measure up to the Van Damme Volvo ad.
