"Here cometh April again, and as far as I can see the world hath more fools in it than ever." - Charles Lamb

In last night's post I wrote that I'd felt whooped all afternoon. In the middle of the night I realized that was more than whooped. Flat on the kitchen floor with a double boiler for a catch basin is not pleasant for husband or wife. Today has been just about the most unproductive waste of time I can remember. I did some reading and prep for the next several weeks of my class, but that's about it. Gotta make up for this tomorrow!

When we have sustained winds of 15-20 mph and gusts to 25 it fills the air with desert dust. Tomorrow promises more of the same and Thursday will bring a fine layer of that dust on everything in the house. I don't know how it gets past closed windows but it does.

The VW did not sell on the eBay auction. I was pretty sure early on that it wouldn't. A very nice '62 ragtop (fabric sunroof) topped out at $8k, short of his reserve. That auction ended about 24 hours before mine, and sure enough, mine topped out just short of that mark. I have other options including two car shows this weekend I'll attend with a For Sale sign in the window. No urgency.

I'd love to give you something witty, profound, or at least interesting. But that just ain't gonna happen at this point. I can see a very early bedtime and nothing of significance before then.
