"Don't tell me how to do my job. I don't come to your workplace and tell you how to sweep up." - Billy Connolly
Second Billy Connolly quote in as many days. Hey, he's Scottish. Therefore he's good.
For the second time in about a week I ordered a grande Americano, and for the second time it did unhelpful things to my insides. I don't know if it's the strength of the brew, the fact it comes on the heels of the coffee I'd already consumed before leaving the house (the first cup was poured at 4 a.m.), or that I'm just a weeny, but it gives me the heeby-jeebies.
I'm gonna stick with my girly lattes from now on. I may even try a pumpkin spice.
I was home by 9:30 and rolled the chassis over from my neighbor's garage. I watch his house while he's in Minnesota for the season and he encouraged me to store it over there whenever I wanted. It's been there since mid-May. This morning I rolled it down his street, around the corner, and into our garage. Uff-dah.
I did all that because at 10:00 Greg, from two doors down, came over and helped me get the engine installed on the frame. I had everything ready and in place, so we had it done by 10:45. No pic because by Saturday afternoon I hope to have the clutch and transmission also installed. Then you get pics.
Yeah, I know. You can hardly wait.
Both my sermon and my lesson are giving me grief this week. I'm so desperate for a break-through that I spent most of the afternoon sucking on a Diet Coke at McDonalds while I worked on my lesson. Still not happy with it.
I'm exhausted from pushing it all day but Pam, who won't be home for another 90 minutes, will be ten times worse. Her job at the hospital is getting out of control. I talked to her late afternoon and she told me they've assigned her three floors to work, and one of them, 5C, is at capacity. She normally works just 5C and has her hands full. Being responsible for two more floors is unfair to her and bad for patient care. She works another 12-hour shift tomorrow, but I'm not sure she'll go back if it's to work three floors again.
Ten days from now....ROAD TRIP!
Wish Pam could go with me.
