"When we ask for advice we are usually looking for an accomplice." - Saul Bellow

Sunday evening. Uff-dah.

I've been at this long enough to know the fatigue I feel is temporary, that by tomorrow morning - noon at the latest - I'll be back to normal. Between now and then the wisest course is to keep my mouth shut (except to eat) and stay away from power tools.
I'm thankful for a wife who understands, knows to leave me be, and waits patiently for my return.

So why am I risking self-immolation by writing a blog post?
Good question. I got no answer.

The Cardinals played to their abilities today against one of the very good teams in the NFL. Our record didn't reflect our abilities. But Arians is a good coach who, in another year will have this team on a roll. I boldly predict it.

This is the full version of an exchange that's quickly gone viral. Several shorter, edited versions are available.
Bill Maher and Ben Afleck go toe-to-toe on ISIS and "Islamophobia."
Consensus in the media seems to be that Maher came out on top.
I thought it was an interesting exchange and I was surprised at Maher's politically incorrect position.
This is a discussion that needs to take place.

Here's another, very short video clip from yesterday's college football action. Pam and I happened to be watching this game live, saw this, and knew immediately it would make "Ah, Com'on, Man" segment on MNF. This poor guy will never live it down.
Lineman FAIL
Anybody else remember Arte Johnson's schtick on Laugh In?

OK, Pam's about to bring supper and I've walked too close to the edge with even this short post.
See you tomorrow night.
