I didn't paint today. I had a lunch meeting and knew I wouldn't be home until 2:00 or so, and that time crunch would make for even more tension than I normally feel with that task. So I've put it off until tomorrow, and then I'll only do either the doors or the fenders, not both. I don't have enough saw horses to hold all four panels, but painting the outside surface of both will go much better if they're thus supported. So one pair tomorrow and the other on Thursday.

My lunch was with former student/colleague Josh W, who pastors a church here in Phoenix. It was our normal monthly "talk shop" meet. It was my turn to choose the location so I went on Yelp and chose the Cheba Hut.

See if there's one in your area and if there is, go eat there. In the meantime, look at their site. The sub I ordered was maybe the best I've ever had. But as theme joints go this one is, uhm, unique. I told Josh that it reminded me of Pathway; I was the oldest guy in there by 25 years.
I could tell as soon as I pulled up it was going to be an experience. Tattoo parlor next door and other "alternative" business in the same strip mall. Their motto on the door: "If you're high, we'll fly." Yeah, you really gotta look at their menu. It's like a glossary. I won't spoil it by telling you more.

I got an email today about a petition I signed so far back that I'd forgotten about it. But the world needs this.
A Better Microwave
The email said the video has almost 1 million views and they've been approached by some of the big names in microwave manufacturing. I think it's cool that some guy comes up with an idea that could take something basically unchanged since it hit the market decades ago and make it into something so much better. But he'll only sign on with one of the players if they commit to keeping it affordable.

I have so much work to do, tasks on my list, that I've got more stuff to write but no more time to give this post. Sorry.
I'm going to go finish an article I'm supposed to turn in by Friday (I'm half done) and then maybe watch NCIS (we're recording it) before turning in for the night. Tomorrow requires an early start even by my crazy standards.
