We need this.
He and Michelle are expecting their second child, a girl, on month from yesterday. So at 64 I have a 40-year old, and when he's 64 he will have a 24-year old. He'll be 80 when his daughter is 40.
I like my spread better.
A month ago I wrote here about Josh's career successes, having accepted a job at a private hand clinic downtown along with a position at the Mayo Clinic in the east valley. I said then that Steve had his own significant career-related development about to come to fruition...but he's still about a month away from being able to formally announce it. Which is to say his dad is about a month away from being able to brag about it. Stay tuned.
He's good. In every respect. It's a blessing to both love and be proud of your kid(s).
The morning was spent doing chores, including more work cleaning the master bath shower which has gone unattended for too long. I can report that:
...The white vinegar and borax combination didn't work at all. Total waste.
...Oxygenated bleach in a paste, letting it sit for 30 minutes, and then scrubbing works reasonably well.
...After that the trick turned out to be the 1000 grit wet sandpaper I use on the truck's clear coat.
I've got more work to do but it should go faster as I figure out what does and doesn't work.
Most of the rest of the day was spent prepping for and then painting body panels: the inside of the doors, the inside of the front fenders, the piece that goes behind the grill, and some small miscellaneous dash parts like the glove box door. All those got the same Bombay Ivory so it made sense to do them all at once. Tomorrow I'll do the outside of the doors and fenders with the two-tone scheme they get.
In general it went well, and my technique for spraying the clear coat is improving. Hold the gun closer and move it faster. But I still have some problem spots I'll have to tend to. Later.
Tonight? I might work on the shower a little more, clean the patio, or sit in my chair and try hard to stay awake until 8:30.
