Hey, I'll be back in five minutes. If I'm not, just read this message again.

Pre-CrossFit

The people of Pathway did a good job this morning.

I read an article this morning on Yahoo news about how to buy a car with minimal technology. Nothing surprising: used, base model, certain makers known for more low-tech cars (I was surprised to see Mazda on that list), etc. The article pointed out several reasons for buying that kind of car, including lower maintenance costs, fewer distractions, and lower susceptibility to hacking, an issue getting increased attention.

This evening on the ABC news they did a segment on self-driving cars, including the Audi test model now making a drive from L.A. to N.Y. sans driver involvement.

Juxtaposition.

I got the radiator installed this afternoon. I had to have a new core put in it, and either the dimensions were slightly different or the guy at the shop who welded it in got a little sloppy. I had to make a few modifications to the mounting holes, but nothing too radical or time consuming.
The plan is to start installing the new wiring tomorrow. I have two plastic bags of full wires in a rainbow of colors supposed to be an exact replication of the originals, that look more than a little intimidating. But I'll approach it like I did the VW harness - slowly and deliberately, checking each wire off the instruction sheet as I install it.

Ted Cruz is announcing his candidacy tomorrow in a speech to be delivered at Liberty University.
First in, first out?
We can hope.
(There, now you know my opinion on that one.)

We're one week away from the end of spring training and the crazy traffic we get with it. I came home from church via the freeway and drove through hit-the-brakes traffic jambs at the Glendale Ave. and Bell Ave. exits where minor league ballparks are located. I could have come home up Dysart, but that would have put me in the middle of one of the other stadium's traffic jambs.
It would be easier if I was a baseball fan. And I am, sort of, if you count using it as a backdrop when I need a nap.
(There, now you know my opinion on that one.)

They had that baby shower this afternoon, the one Pam made cupcakes for. Alas, she had to bring some home because they didn't eat all of them.
Oh, snap!
