My friend is a dyslexic atheist with insomnia. He lies awake at night wondering if there's a dog.

Look what I found!

It's free, it's powerful, and it does some really trick stuff. I'm trying to learn the "Floor Plan Beta" (at the right end of the banner at the top) to make a version of our tiny house. I need to mess around with it more, but so far I'm impressed.
We watched this week's Tiny House Nation last night off the DVR. It's on Monday nights on the DIY network. That house came the closest to what we have in mind and we hit rewind and pause several times to look more closely at details.

I discovered this morning that the fuel pump I installed yesterday was leaking on the discharge side. I'd cross threaded the fitting (again), but there's an explanation. The fuel line from there to the carb is solid, pre-bent, and not at all flexible, making it hard to get the fitting lined up properly. So after sermon prep time at Starbucks I went to the parts store and bought a new brass fitting and got it done properly this time. Removed the line at the other end, installed it at the pump, and then up by the carb where there's a bit more flexibility.

Then I pulled the top off the carb and reset the float. It was about 1/8" off, maybe a bit more. Is that enough to account for the gas that was pouring out when we tried to start it Sunday? I dunno. I could have - probably should have - tried to fire it up when I got it all back together, but it was hot, I wasn't in the proper frame of mind, and was home alone. Tomorrow morning when it's cool, I'm fresh, and Pam's home to watch for gas leaks and the like I'll hook up the battery and give it a try.

How does a train operator not know he's going into a curve at twice the speed limit? Especially when that puts him in triple digits? Something's not right here.

I like Sam Smith's music.

I got that PR today. Eleven sets of 10 pull ups each.

Both the lily pond and the rose garden are doing better than any of the previous three years. I think I've finally figured both out. I was overwatering the roses and shouldn't have divided the lilies every spring.
