A little music humor snagged from a friend's Facebook post.
She was raised by an overbearing father who was a tennis coach and pushed her mercilessly. She had lots of success as a teen but eventually couldn't take it anymore, left the game, and went to cooking school. Through a crazy series of events and after years of therapy she's back in the game, without her father with whom she hasn't had any contact in years, and at age 25 is rising quickly. The commentators both commented on how much she appreciates each victory and is clearly grateful for every success.
It's those cool backstories that help make sports fun.
I got a lot done today. I started on the back patio where the truck's hood is sitting on the table. It has now been color sanded and buffed - looks good - and the braces attached to the underside. It's now ready for installation, but first I have to fabricate expanders for the hinge springs so I can get them in place.
I got the new steering column bearing installed and the horn wiring hooked up. That means I can now put the steering wheel on and see if those horns actually HONK. (They should be loud.)
The front bumper brackets have been cleaned and painted, read for installation. I'm missing the chrome bolts that hold my new bumpers on, so they have to be ordered.
I did some research and learned a lot about wood beds. I'll order my kit in the next day or two.
Yep, we're getting closer.
If you were going to give yourself a new name what would you choose? Bruce chose Caitlyn, which is certainly not common. But never mind changing from one sex to another, what if you were choosing a different name for what you are now?
I wouldn't choose Craig. Nothing wrong with it, and I don't hate it. It's just hard to hear, and when I give it to the person at a restaurant or Starbucks, or say it over the phone I always have to repeat it and then spell it. Which is why I tell the barista my name is Mac (and then see Matt written on my cup).
Frank works.
Monday night is Tiny House night. DIY Network. Must see TV, and we almost always get ideas.
