"At my age flowers scare me." - George Burns
We watch Tiny House Nation on HGTV, usually from the DVR. On the episode we watched the other night a couple had a hand-painted sign on their wall giving what we assumed was the latitude and longitude for their house and thought that was a cool idea. So this morning I looked up our OR address and got that data so we can do the same if we choose. Oddly, two different sites gave slightly different results. Maybe one of them was for MoHo and the other for Fred.
That sent me looking for the elevation, and it came back as 544'. We're 49 miles from the Pacific Ocean, so even at that altitude I think we'll be safe from the tsunami when it hits. We might, however, get ocean front property out of the event.
I sometimes get calls for Pathway Bible Church from businesses or people who somehow came across my number from the website, which has been shut down for two months. Awkward. This morning I got a call for Capital Property Maintenance from a realtor looking to have some work done.

The doors, fenders, fender liners, and radiator cover are all back in place. It's not right; the front edge of the door and the back edge of the fender make contact - both sides. But after this most recent effort I can't imagine anything I could do that would make it better. The good news: if I can grind 1/16" off both door and fender at just one small spot I'll be fine. I have to do that without removing either door or fender because I'll never get the back in this position again, so I've got to figure out the best way to do this without risk of serious damage to the paint job. I think my Dremel is the way to go, but I need to find just the right attachment.
The bed's face frames and drawer fronts are all sanded and sealed, ready for staining. The drawer slides will show up Monday and as soon as I have them in hand I can measure for and make the rest of the two boxes that form the base.
The first four sessions of the first seminar are done - outlines and presentations. I'm getting about one session done per day, working some each morning and each afternoon.
Today is our 44th anniversary. We were going to take a day trip 90 minutes north to Prescott but the 50% chance of thunderstorms talked us out of it. So we stayed home and worked. Me: the truck, the bed, and the seminar. Pam: making a gift for our oldest granddaughter Megan who turned 13 today, doing some baking, and some running around. This evening we're meeting Steve & Michelle and Josh & Aubri for pizza. But the real attraction: the grandkids.
And....we're off.
