"France is a country where the money falls apart and you can't tear the toilet paper." - Billy Wilder
OK, I'm feeling some pressure from the big three. I leave for Costa Rica Wednesday morning, the truck sits in the garage as a constant reminder of how much work has to be done on it before we move, and people start coming to see the house tomorrow morning.
It officially hits the market on Tuesday, but there are two showings tomorrow morning. And then five on Tuesday! Pam works both days (or at least is scheduled to work) so that's easy, but I have to be gone for all those showings, scheduled an hour apart. Uhm...when do I pack? Or get stuff done on the truck? Or get the pond and roses and... prepped for my absence?
Of course all of the inconvenience is well worth it if one of these showings results in a good offer. And if we get competing offers, well, that's our ideal scenario.
Josh & Aubri's CrossFit gym hosted a state-wide invitational event and Josh was in charge. He came up with the events, worked out the logistics, and ran the whole thing. Here's a pic of him giving instructions to the athletes at the beginning.
He's good.
The heat just keeps coming. We hit 106 today, with a forecasted low overnight of 81.
This is good:
Ben Carson: #Black Lives Matter, misfire
And while we're at it, Ben Stein on the market issues last week:
Don't Blame China
I've done more reading about Costa Rica and their culture, including their cuisine and music. I'm looking forward to the immersion I'll get staying with locals and with no missionaries as go-betweens for any part of it. Sure wish I knew Spanish.
