"Experience is what you have after you've forgotten her name." - Milton Berle

In honor of the Tour de France going on now.

I'm inclined to give FBI Director James Comey the benefit of the doubt and conclude his decision to not bring charges is legit. That doesn't mean another, equally qualified Director might not have reached a different conclusion, just that Comey's wasn't politically driven and was his honest judgment on the case.
However, what he did say seems to disqualify Hillary from the highest office in the U.S. almost as clearly as would an indictment. She was "extremely careless" with information that had the highest secrecy classification, should have known better, and almost certainly permanently deleted emails that contained government information. While there's no evidence her system was hacked, others with whom she communicated with were hacked, making it "possible that hostile actors gained access to her account." In addition, she used her unsecured private system while traveling "in the territories of sophisticated adversaries."
So, is this the person we want holding the highest security clearance in the country? She has said we can't trust Donald to have his finger on the button, and I agree. But for the Sect. of State to be so...stupid with a documented eight email chains that contained a Top Secret classification doesn't seem any better.

Back in January Lindsey Graham said nominating Ted Cruz or Donald Trump was the difference between death by being shot or poisoning. I'm of the opinion that one of the names may have changed but the comparison holds.

DishTV sent me an email saying my first year discounts were expiring and my bill would be going up as a result. I responded by cutting the number of TV channels we get in half and saving more than the discount. The only two channels we'll lose that we watched with any frequency are DYI and FYI. I watched Top Gear on BBC USA but the new version isn't nearly as good so losing that is no big deal.
I wish we could stream here, but satellite internet doesn't allow for that. So no Netflix or equivalent.

On tonight's episode of Chasing Classic Cars he restored to concours condition the Buick convertible from The Rain Man. At the end of that segment they showed Wayne taking his daughter for a ride in the car which, he explained, had special significance because his daughter has autism to a significant degree. Pretty cool.
