"Gossip is when you hear something you like about someone you don't." - Earl Wilson

Nine people were injured in a mass stabbing at a Boise apartment complex.
It's time we stop the madness and outlaw knives!

I heard another news story talking about President Trump's "Zero Tolerance Immigration Policy." I think they mean zero tolerance illegal immigration policy. Do you suppose that's an intentional or unintentional omission?

The above was written this morning before we left for Starbucks. SO much has happened since then. Oh my. Where to start? Chronological order I guess.

Our pastor Brett has asked if I'd be interested in becoming part of the teaching rotation for an adult class that meets before church and is something like a survey of the Bible. Step one: attend one of the classes so I could see how it's structured and how it goes. So I was there this morning from 8:30 to 9:30.
Oh my.
This morning's class was the first dozen or so chapters in Acts. Needless to say (for most of you who know me) I had some problems with the content. The delivery? Uhm.....

I'm not sure why but Brett didn't preach this morning. The staff guy who leads our church's sizable college ministry (big presence on the U of O campus) preached.

On the way home I stopped and bought two smaller aluminum trash cans to replace the Rubbermaid-like plastic bins I keep the goat grain and feed in. They are starting to break down and crack so this solves that problem.
I also got two big heavy duty plastic trash cans.
We pay $25 a month for trash service. Now that I have a trailer I can load it up and take it to the dump for $12 a load. So we're dropping trash service, putting a month's trash into these cans (I may have to get a third), and going to the dump. Boom! just saved about $150 a year!

After lunch I did some chores outside and then came in to post the Kia on Craig's List. I took a dozen pics yesterday so it didn't take me too long to get the ad up.
Truth: 15 minutes after hitting "Publish Ad" I got a phone call and an hour later it was sold for my ("FIRM") asking price. I wasn't worried about selling it, just didn't expect it to happen that fast.
The best part? The husband (they're probably in their late 50's) is a preacher's kid and they're active in their local church, including missions.
So, did I ask less than I should have? Maybe. But it's just money and we really like that we got to meet a nice couple who are family in Christ. That's more than worth any dollars we left behind. We had a nice visit while they were here in MoHo to do the paperwork. They've just become empty-nesters and are talking about downsizing, simplifying their life.
And she really liked holding a baby goat.
Yeah, we're very happy with the way this whole thing played out.
T'ank you, Fadder.

So now it's after dinner. And second dinner. In 15 minutes I'll go up and give Eclair his last bottle for the day.
This Friday we go from four bottles a day (7 a.m., noon, 5 p.m., and 9 p.m.) down to just three a day. Whoopee! We'll probably do 7 a.m., noon, and 7 p.m. It stays at three until he's weaned at three months, the end of August (he's five weeks old now). The amount per day will stay at this level until about two weeks before that weaning point when we start gradually decreasing the total ounces per day. He's already eating alfalfa and will increase that as his system naturally wants more solid food.

I keep thinking about Brazil, my time there, and the people I met.
That's the one downside to this travel gig; those people get in my heart.
Brazil maybe more than any of the others. Don't know why.

The people are the best part.
