Hillary received one of the pipe bombs someone has sent to liberal and Democratic leaders. In response she decried the polarized nature of the current political climate.
This from the woman who two weeks ago said civility has no place in dealing with the current slate of Republican candidates.
Pam's flight will arrive in just over four hours. But who's counting? (A: me)
Because she's on a plane now and can't read my blog....
My project while she's been gone has been painting the exterior of MoHo. I had a lot of paint left over from the trailer build and wondered what to do with it. I asked her what she thought of using it on MoHo and her response was, "It would sure look a lot better than what it is now." So last Friday I decided to paint the far end using this leftover paint.
"The far end" is the end that we only see when we go back there to get firewood out of the woodshed. The people who live up the private road on the south side of our property see it every time they drive that road but if she thinks it's horrible - well, that's their problem.
I had to scrub it down to get all the moss and dirt off, make some repairs to places where the aluminum siding had come loose, and then went to work painting it. Gray for the main surface and the blue for trim pieces. Because the aluminum is corrugated I had to paint it all with a brush. A roller wouldn't work (I tried). That meant it took more time and effort that I'd planned but I really liked the outcome. And I still had paint left over. Because it's aluminum the paint doesn't soak into the surface at all and thus goes a long way. So I scrubbed and started painting the side with the back door, the side where we park and enter MoHo. I got the trim done and about 1/2 of the side before I ran out of both time and paint.
It will be dark when we get home from the airport and I don't *think* she'll notice between the car and going inside. Besides, she's not real attentive to her surroundings. (That's been the topic of several funny stories in 47 years.) So in the morning I'll take her outside via the front door to show her that far end and ask her opinion. I'm 100% sure she'll like it - it's a huge improvement - and then I'll say, "Whew! Good thing!!" and take her around to the side that's 50% done.
I'll let you know how it goes in tomorrow night's post.
