"If you want to walk fast, walk alone. If you want to walk far, walk together." - African Proverb

I've been up since 3:30 and on the move since 3:35. I had a 6 a.m. meeting, an 8:00 meeting, another at 9:00, and one at 11:00. (Ugh)
They were all OK and profitable, it's just that I'm not a fan of meetings.

On the way home I went to the gym and then started on cinnamon rolls. Pam's helping me through the process because it involves a lot of steps I've never done before. I now know about ricing potatoes, blooming yeast, and proving dough. Soon I'll learn about making frosting. The question is, will I remember all of these steps the next time I make cinnamon rolls? I'd better do it again fairly soon or the answer is absolutely not!

I have a goal for my workouts that was reinforced by an article I read by Arnold Schwarzenegger. I didn't know that he had a pretty massive heart attack a few years ago and had to start over at walking just a few yards at a time. He kept at it until he was ready to film the next Terminator movie. (I think it's Terminator XXIII.) He said people should not be drawn in by the "Six Pack Abs in Six Weeks" promotions or diets guaranteed to take off that last 10 pounds in three days. He told about his own journey back and how it happened very incrementally and required unbroken self discipline. That's my commitment. I figure I'll be ready to star in an action movie in about 10 years.

I was supposed to get to the feed store this afternoon to get another bale of grass hay but that didn't come close to happening. I've got enough to get me through tomorrow but I MUST do it tomorrow afternoon because tomorrow night it starts raining and continues for 10 of the next 10 days.

The Oregon legislature is laying out the bills they plan to take up when their new session starts up in January. On the list are requirements that all gun owners buy and use trigger locks but that plastic straws are outlawed and plastic bags are taxed.
We ain't in AZ anymore.

I ordered some special pens on Amazon late this morning. I just got an email that they'll be here tomorrow.
How do they do that??

I just frosted the cinnamon rolls. Pam's going to cut them apart after I go to bed (we're minutes away) and package them up for me to take into town tomorrow. I'll deliver four to my friends at PT and take a dozen to church. That still leaves me with eight here at home, which is about seven more than my "one cheat per week" commitment allows. Hmmmm.
