"A handful of patience is worth more than a bushul of brains." - Dutch Proverb
I spent most of the day working on content for my Brazil trip, including making some presentation slides. I used Google Translator to put them in Portuguese because the early slides are pretty basic. Joe will probably have to correct some (most? all?) of them but just doing that reminds me of what a difficult language that is.
Marta sold a doeling two years ago to a gal up in the Bremerton, WA area. I guess in this case it's called a "futures" because the doeling was born a few months ago and in 2017 the gal put down a deposit for offspring that would come from this doe/buck breeding.
I'm going to go see my mom the end of January and take the doeling as far as Tacoma where I'll meet the gal and hand off the kid. In return I'll get enough to pay for my gas.
I was going that direction anyway, so having a kid in back is no problem. It's not like I have to borrow a car seat; she'll only weigh about 70 lbs. and will fit in a large dog kennel. Plus, it helps Marta out, and she has been SO much help to us so many times.
Plus, she was contacted by a couple that lives over by them and has two pygmy goats they need boarded while they go on vacation in July. Marta has a full plate all month and asked if we'd like to do that.
Sure!
The weaning pen is empty and may as well generate a few extra bucks (see what I did there?) until Dolly's kid(s) are ready to be put in there, something that won't happen until late September.
I did more sanding on Sally this afternoon, working on the left side rear quarter.
Someone found bondo on sale and then thought, "Well, I've got it so I might as well lather it on this Mustang."
Aaaargh!
I'm using a grinder to get it off because it's so hard that I go through sanding discs in no time. $$$
I expected to find a dent at the bottom of all this bondo. Nope, just smooth metal.
It's almost like they thought, "The angle of this curve is all wrong, so I'm going to change it with 1/4" of bondo."
A lot more removal to do. It's going to rain on Friday and I'd like to have enough done that I can put it back in Barnette and prime & paint.
A meeting at 8 a.m. tomorrow will, I think, decide whether or not Continuing Ed classes continue in the fall. And if so, when and how.
Then our weekly staff meeting at 9:00.
That's all I've got. Maybe more tomorrow night.
Dinner is done (Mmmm) and it's time for a shower and some mindless TV.
