This guy's stuck and probably in some pain. Note the expressions on the rest of the people in the pic. Gotta love the milk of human kindness.
I have the Rambler back but I don't think anybody's happy. I'm not happy that it took them a full week to diagnose and fix a brake issue (they say one of the wheel cylinders was bad), or the price I paid for that service. They're not happy that they took a bath on labor costs; I did NOT pay for a week's worth of labor charges. The car isn't worth that much. They probably don't want to see me again and I'm happy to oblige them in that regard.
Louise is filthy from sitting outside, covered with a layer of desert dust. So tomorrow she'll get a bath.
I wondered if this is real or staged, but I'm afraid it's the former.
Deer Crossing
In local news, an elderly man driving a pickup truck had what they think was a heart attack and drove into a house. Into. The back two feet of the truck's bed were the only thing showing.
The residents of the very small house are OK, but were trapped inside and it took the fire dept. to get them out.
They showed pictures on the news, and a big sign over the front door said, "Psychic."
So shouldn't they have seen this coming?
We had squash for dinner tonight. (There was other stuff, too.) I like squash. I remember dad using a huge kitchen knife and a hammer to cut up some kind of squash so my mom could cook it. Lots of butter on top.
Mmmm.
But maybe it would have been better with bacon.
(This was really good squash, too. So was the rest of the dinner.)
Give 'em credit, Microsoft is working hard to salvage their sagging company, coming out with new products that look and work like Macs.
Romney supporters post some pretty outrageous stuff on Facebook.
Turns out Obama supporters do, too.
Most Mercedes SL's (230 SL, 250 SL, etc.) have what's called a pagoda roof. The higher sides and lower center allowed for easier entry and bigger side windows. The shape reminded people of a Japanese pagoda. Mostly it's considered a very classy look.
This isn't a Mercedes.
