This is THE coolest costume EVER!
I know this looks like an Escher painting but it's real:
Well in India.
No railings! How many people carrying buckets took a header?
My friend Sherry sent me this article. I think it's the clearest and most convincing piece I've read about why it's absolutely essential we vote for the proper presidential candidate next month.
I saw an ad for Carhartt clothing on TV. I'm thankful I live in a place where nobody knows what that is.
Sometimes, like today, I empty the dishwasher. Every time I do I wonder why we have so much silverware. Two people live in this house but we have enough spoons, knives and forks for a family of 36. The tray compartments can't hold all of it. We have two complete sets and miscellaneous odd ball pieces. And why do they even make dessert forks?
If the dessert forks for one set are the same size as the dinner forks for another, which compartment should they go in?
A high of 97 today. Are the triple digits finally behind us?
As of this afternoon local kids are on Fall Break. Because school here starts the first week of August both students and teachers are ready for a week off. Two Pathway families are headed for Disney World, one for the mountains of northern AZ, and others elsewhere. It's ideal for them because they get to enjoy weather that's pretty good and miss all the crowds of the summer season.
German general to Swiss General: "You have only 500,000 men in your army; what would you do if I invaded with 1 million men?"
Swiss General: "Well, I suppose every one of my soldiers would need to fire twice."
Scaphism was an ancient method of execution in which the naked victim was immobilized, either by staking him to the ground or tying him inside the hollowed out trunk of a tree. He was then force fed milk and honey (diarrhea the intended result) and smeared with honey so that insects would congregate and feed/breed. The victim was given food and water so that death could take two weeks or more.
Use scaphism in three sentences.
The new CBS series "Vegas" may become a habit. Pam's family moved there when she was five (I think) and the show takes place in 1960. That means she was...never mind. One of the main characters is Sheriff Lamb and she remembers him holding that office. Don't know how much of the rest of the drama is "fact based" but it's interesting to see what the place looked like when she was growing up.
And the cars are really cool, too.
