"There is only one cure for gray hair. It was invented by a Frenchman. It is called the guillotine." - P.G. Wodehouse

Gives new meaning to the term rocker arm.

I don't know what we'll do about keeping/replacing this wood stove by the hints from that gal for getting the most out of this one have sure made a difference. I now leave the door slightly ajar for the first 10 minutes or so and put two pieces of wood in when I start it up instead of just one. It gets hotter faster and I think is more efficient in terms of the burn rate.

Here's a screen grab of the forecast for the next 10 days. It's almost comical, especially after living for eight years in the desert of southern AZ. If this turns into reality we will get more rain this week than we'd get in an entire year back in Sun City.

As you can see, today and tomorrow afternoon are the only rain free days, at least per Weather Underground. So I decided to work on the chicken coop with the goal of getting at least the outside finished. I went to work on the nest boxes after breakfast (when it was sprinkling despite the above chart), and because I'm making it up as I go along there was some trial and error. By 4 p.m. construction was done, with a second coat of paint on the trim. The siding will get its second coat tomorrow.
It ain't cabinetry, but the chickens don't care, and it's far enough from MoHo that I can't see the errors from the living room.

Some TV commercials feature someone really annoying, like the Geico commercials with the Peter Pan character. Or the DirecTV ad with the DJ from the mailroom and the deaf guy who doesn't hear the explanation.
Someone should explain to the companies running those ads that an annoying character annoys us too after about the third time. Do they really want that reaction from potential customers?

Pam's fixing supper, which I will eagerly eat. I'm hungry.
After that I plan to do nothing but watch some college football or whatever else shows up on that screen. I may be too whooped to change the channel.
But the coop is all but done!
